About

We are a fellowship of individuals recovering from codependency. We have decided to pursue a secular recovery from codependency. We take inspiration from all sources and focus our efforts on our own choices and what we can learn to develop new healthy behaviors to overcome our self-destructive patterns. Many of us have found traditional programs for recovery to be religious in tone and prefer an environment where we can feel free to express ourselves whether we believe it God or not.

My name it Matt. I have taken on the responsibility of organizing this group and have created this website to grow our fellowship and reach those who are looking for help. The reason I started this group was because I found that I was spending more time worrying about whether or not God existed and not enough time addressing my codependent behaviors. I found the Jeffrey Munn book, Staying Sober without God, and I said to myself, “AHA!”, and that became the name of the group too. In this book, I took to heart the statement that recovery cannot be done alone. So I decided to start this group at the beginning of 2021. I have decided I am committed to this effort and will be doing this for as long as I’m able. I am looking for others who believe in this mission to work with me. Please reach out.
