Agnostic, Humanist, and Atheist Codependency Support Group

A secular, peer-led support community for people unlearning codependent patterns — without religion, spirituality, or dogma

What is AHA?

AHA is a support group for people recovering from codependency who want a fully secular alternative to traditional 12-step programs. We welcome agnostic, humanist, atheist, and non-religious participants seeking practical, grounded recovery based on shared experience — not belief.

This group is for people who:

  • Feel responsible for other people’s emotions or well-being
  • Struggle with boundaries, people-pleasing, or self-abandonment
  • Grew up in emotionally unsafe or dysfunctional environments
  • Want recovery without higher power language or spiritual beliefs

This group is not:

  • A religious or spiritual program
  • Group therapy or professional counseling
  • A place for advice-giving, fixing, or rescuing
  • Anti-religious — we are non-religious

What makes AHA different?

Fully Secular

No prayers, no higher power language, no spiritual framing.

Practical and Grounded

Focused on behaviors, boundaries, and self-responsibility

Peer-Led Support

Shared experience, not hierarchy or authority

Our Secular Recovery Framework
